We are currently witnessing a true technological revolution with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), which also affects public administrations, albeit in a different way than the private sector due to their unique characteristics. The main idea behind the project is to advise the Principality of Asturias Administration on how it can use AI in its operations, in the provision of public services and even in decision-making, with the aim of improving its effectiveness and efficiency, while at the same time respecting all the guarantees of citizenship. This requires not only technical knowledge of the possibilities offered by AI, but also, from a legal perspective, knowledge of the legal implications of the use of AI by the administration, the regulatory framework, and the rights and guarantees that must be respected in all cases. This is a very complex issue, given that the regulations are scattered and the recent European Regulation, although directly applicable, will require significant adaptation.
